How it started
We staged one Afrobeats musical in Lagos and the city showed up. They sang every word. They came back. So we kept going.
Theatre Nation grows from one belief. African stories can fill theatres and move audiences and travel far beyond where they began.
Now we stage the revolution.
Picture it.
Night after night of original Afrobeats musicals. Live music played raw and deep. You feel it in your chest before you hear it. Dancers who make you forget you have a seat. A lobby that turns into a runway.
And when the curtain comes down the party is only getting started.
Every show is an original African story.
Who comes
Teenagers who know every lyric sit next to grandparents who remember the originals. The aunties come dressed like it's an owambe.
Friends make a night of it. First-timers end up singing along with people they have never met.
